This boook is GREAT! It's been a while since I read it so the details are not quite there.
The book offers a fascinating and detailed look into the history of the hacker group "Cult of the Dead Cow." It explores their origins, key events, and their impact on hacking culture and cybersecurity. Many key members, such as John McAfee, became big names. Through engaging storytelling, it sheds light on how this influential group shaped parts of the underground hacking scene.
It's exciting to see how the start of the internet inherently led to issues being exploited by using the internet to do what it was intended to do, that being to share information rapidly. For those who started on the wrong side of the law to become not just good but excel at their craft gives inspiration to stay true to what you love, and that consistency brings prosperity.
Although I don't remember every detail (It's been a few years since I read it), this book left a strong impression on me. It's an enjoyable read that combines history with insight, making it a valuable addition for anyone interested in hacker culture and cybersecurity history.
